Quick answer

Yes — Faith No More are officially back on stage in 2027. Nine dates are announced so far: five stadium shows co-headlining with System of a Down across Brazil, Australia, and New Zealand in January and February, plus four European festival appearances in June. These are the band's first live performances since 2016. October 2026 check: no full standalone world tour or new album has been announced — the confirmed dates are the co-headline run and the festivals below.

What's confirmed vs. what's still coming

✅ Confirmed for 2027

Faith No More return to the stage for the first time since 2016, co-headlining five stadium dates with System of a Down: Rio de Janeiro (Jan 15), Sydney (Jan 22), Melbourne (Jan 27), Brisbane (Feb 1), Wellington (Feb 7).
Four European festival appearances in June: Rock for People (Hradec Králové, Jun 3), Rock im Park (Nuremberg, Jun 4), Rock am Ring (Nürburg, Jun 5), and Mystic Festival (Gdańsk, Jun 10–12 — the exact set day is not yet specified).
The reunion itself is band-confirmed: after the band teased "2027" on social media, bassist Bill Gould confirmed the return on the Rock Talk podcast, saying the band decided they can still play the material the right way.

⚠️ Not yet announced

No standalone headlining world tour dates — only the five co-headline shows and four festival slots are confirmed.
No UK or North American dates have been announced as of October 4, 2026.
No new album: Sol Invictus (2015) remains the band's latest studio record, with no new music tied to the 2027 shows.

The comeback so far, for context

Faith No More have been one of rock's great on-again, off-again acts. The San Francisco band — Mike Patton, Bill Gould, Mike Bordin, Roddy Bottum, and Jon Hudson — split in 1998, reunited in 2009 for a global comeback tour, and released Sol Invictus in 2015, their first album in 18 years. They have played no shows at all since 2016: a planned 2020 return was first derailed by the pandemic, then canceled outright when Patton scrapped his 2021 appearances to address his mental health.

The 2027 return began with a single social media post: the band's eight-pointed star logo with the text "2027." Bill Gould confirmed it one day later on the Rock Talk podcast. "We're gonna do it. We're gonna play," he said, adding that the band's physical style of playing means they decided to go for it while they still can do it justice — "for a few more years." The announced 2027 schedule was first reported by JamBase in July 2026 and has since grown with the European festival announcements in late September.

This is one of the most anticipated rock comebacks of the year. Faith No More last played Australia in 2015 and the German Ring/Park festivals in 1995, so these dates are genuine rarities — and the band has shown no sign of announcing anything further yet.

Ticket and presale info

Tickets for the Australia and New Zealand stadium shows went on public sale July 31, 2026, after an artist presale for mailing-list subscribers on July 28 and a PayPal First Access presale on July 29, with TEG Live handling ticketing. No official ticket links are published for the Rio de Janeiro date — watch the band's official channels. The four European dates are festival appearances, so entry is through each festival's own ticketing: Rock for People, Rock im Park, Rock am Ring, and Mystic Festival. Mystic Festival 2027 three-day passes were listed at PLN 879, with VIP passes at PLN 1,399.

The Faith No More return is real and the dates are official — but with only nine shows announced, more could still be added, so check the sources above before making travel plans. Frequently asked questions

Yes. Faith No More have announced nine 2027 dates so far: five co-headline stadium shows with System of a Down in South America, Australia, and New Zealand (January–February), plus four European festival appearances in June. These will be the band's first shows since 2016.

The run opens January 15 at Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, followed by Sydney (January 22), Melbourne (January 27), Brisbane (February 1), and Wellington (February 7). In June they play Rock for People in the Czech Republic, Rock im Park and Rock am Ring in Germany, and Mystic Festival in Poland.

Not announced as a full tour. What exists so far is a co-headline stadium run with System of a Down and four festival headline slots. Bassist Bill Gould has said the band plans to keep playing for a few more years, so additional dates may follow.

The Australia/New Zealand stadium shows went on public sale July 31, 2026 after artist and presale windows, handled by TEG Live. The European shows are festival dates, so tickets are sold through each festival's own ticketing — check the festival sites below.

Nothing has been announced. The band's most recent studio album remains Sol Invictus (2015), and no new music has been tied to the 2027 shows.

The band has been largely inactive since 2016. Planned 2020 shows were derailed by the COVID-19 pandemic, and rescheduled 2021 dates were scrapped after frontman Mike Patton canceled his appearances citing mental health reasons. The 2027 dates are their first announced performances since.
