Why a 2027 tour makes sense

A Perfect Circle — the project of Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan and guitarist Billy Howerdel — have been unusually quiet on record since 2018's Eat the Elephant, which debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200. That silence broke in 2026 with two new singles: "Starless", which reached No. 1 at Active Rock radio, followed by "To Whom It May Concern", produced by Howerdel at his Lankershim Ranch Studio with Josh Freese on drums. Howerdel has said the new music finally getting out into the world has been a long time coming, and that "more is coming".

The band is also in full touring mode. A Perfect Circle and Puscifer are spending fall 2026 on the road across Latin America, Australia, New Zealand and Japan, closing December 19 in Hawaii. Keenan — who is doing double duty with both bands on the Canadian 2027 dates — noted it had been "way, way too long" since he toured Canada with A Perfect Circle. With new music, a live band in fighting shape and the arena run selling through official channels, a 2027 North American tour is exactly the move fans expected.
