Why a 2027 tour makes sense

Tokio Hotel are one of Germany's biggest rock exports. Formed in Magdeburg in 2001, Bill and Tom Kaulitz, Gustav Schäfer and Georg Listing broke through across Europe with "Durch den Monsun" in 2005 and have kept a loyal global fanbase through albums like Humanoid and 2001.

The 2027 announcement follows their current European arena tour (October 28 to November 23, 2026), which sold across London, Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, Milan, Vienna, Munich and Madrid. The new single "Dye My Hair", released with the 2027 announcement, signals the band is in an active release cycle rather than a nostalgia run.

An open-air summer encore is a natural move for a German band of their scale: the country's summer festival and open-air circuit is where their biggest domestic audiences are, and the Frequency Festival slot puts them in front of a younger Austrian crowd.

Ticket and presale info

Tickets for all 13 Summer Encore 2027 shows are on general sale via tokiohotel.com. The Sankt Pölten appearance is part of Frequency Festival (August 19-21), so it's sold through the festival's own ticketing. Prices vary by venue; resale listings have appeared for the larger open-air sites like Berlin's Waldbühne.
