Why a 2027 tour makes sense

Simple Plan have been building toward this for a while. The Montreal pop-punk quartet has sold more than 10 million albums worldwide on the back of early-2000s anthems like "I'm Just a Kid", "I'd Do Anything", "Addicted", "Perfect", "Welcome to My Life", and "Untitled (How Could This Happen to Me?)". Their last major headlining national tour across Canada was the Harder Than It Looks Tour in late 2023, and while they have played individual Canadian stops and festival dates since - including a massive outdoor Toronto show with Bowling for Soup, 3OH!3, and Marianas Trench this past August and the Vans Warped Tour in Montreal - a full cross-Canada run has been over a decade in the making.

The timing is no accident. The band's songs have found a second life online - their "I'm Just a Kid" social media challenge generated over a billion views - and a career-spanning documentary on Amazon Prime Video brought their story to a new generation. Stacking the bill with fellow pop-punk veterans Yellowcard (fresh off their first album in nearly a decade, produced by Travis Barker) and Bowling for Soup turns the tour into a full reunion with an era that never really left.

Ticket and presale info

Presales ran October 6-8, 2026: an artist presale on October 6 (code via the band's broadcast channel), a Live Nation presale on October 7, and a Spotify "Reserved by Spotify" presale on October 8. General sale is Friday, October 9 at 10am local time via Ticketmaster, with VIP packages available. Prices were not published in the announcement. The band confirmed that $1 from every ticket sold goes to the Simple Plan Foundation, which has donated more than $3 million in Canada and worldwide since 2005.

This is a genuine homecoming run - a hometown show at Montreal's Bell Centre on February 12 caps the Ontario-Quebec stretch - and with the band calling it their first proper cross-Canada tour in over ten years, the 15-date itinerary is unlikely to stay this short if demand holds. Fans of Canadian rock should also track our Nickelback 2027 tour dates and Bryan Adams 2027 tour pages, and pop-punk festival fans can follow our Warped Tour 2027 tracker for the Montreal festival dates.
