Why a 2027 tour makes sense

Daughtry launched the "20 Years Unplugged" concept in fall 2026 as a special acoustic run through intimate theaters and performance spaces — a deliberate contrast to the full-band rock shows of their catalog's arena years. The format reframes songs from their self-titled debut (the top-selling album of 2007 and the fastest-selling rock debut in SoundScan history) through their Big Machine Rock era, including chart-toppers "Artificial" and "Pieces," in what the band describes as a more raw and immediate setting.

The band remains one of the best-selling rock acts of the 21st century, with north of 11 million albums and 25 million singles sold, four Grammy nominations, four American Music Awards, and seven Billboard Music Awards. Their recent Big Machine Rock releases — SHOCK TO THE SYSTEM (PART ONE), PART TWO, and the deluxe edition — marked a return to heavier roots and produced No. 1 Active Rock singles, which fueled demand that justified extending the anniversary tour into 2027.

The second-leg announcement in late September 2026 also answered fan demand from the first leg's sold-out-style run: 26 more dates across the South, Midwest, Northeast, and West, from Florida casinos to theaters in Detroit, St. Louis, and Nashville.
